The sun rises differently in Kenya.
It doesn't rush. It spills slowly over red dirt roads and tin rooftops.
In June 2026, I stood in that light with a group of high school students. We had traveled thousands of miles to serve — but I didn't expect to be the one learning so much.
What I saw changed me.
Students walking miles to school.
Joy without performance.
Connection without comparison.
And quietly, a realization formed:
Our teenagers back home are not struggling because they lack opportunity.
They're struggling because they're drowning in noise.
